Dillon Ethier Sometimes when you hear a really crazy band's studio recordings, it makes you wonder about the extent to which they can truly reproduce that sound in a live setting. Here, Nerve lays any doubts of this nature to rest; their live game absolutely lives up to if not surpasses their studio offerings. Favorite track: Them.

about

As we entered a time in pop culture where pretense appears to be legitimized, lip syncing often qualifies as a live performance and audiences cheer at holograms of dead performers, we thought it would be nice to revisit the format of a live record again.

The chemistry between performer and a live audience can spur intense and magical events which capture much of the essence of music: communication, synergy, love. The audience then not only consumes and witnesses the creative process but also collaborates. This experience is close to our heart and lies at the core of NERVE.
Many ideas that turn into NERVE songs originate from extensive improvised jams during our live shows. Once produced in the recording studio, these songs usually keep mutating and evolving as soon as we unleash them in a live environment again.

With this record, a dream came true as for the first time we were technically able to capture NERVE live the way we had envisioned for a long time.

There are no sequencers, tracks or overdubs on this recording. Everything was performed live in real-time, celebrating the realness of the moments that gave birth to it.

Enjoy!
